Sombra’s U.S. headquarters, warehouse and technology training facility opened in Carrollton, Texas, in June 2026. The facility supports both in-person and virtual training, including hands-on product demonstrations that help dealers specify, install, program and support Sombra systems with confidence.

The strength of Sombra’s collection is not one shade—it is the breadth of the complete line. Nine shade families give dealers the flexibility to address nearly every opening in a residential or commercial project while maintaining a consistent approach to specification, installation and support.

The collection includes Roller, Duo Roller, Zebra, Cellular, Woven Wood, Roman and Sonata Linen Roman shades, along with Trapezoid and Skylight Day/Night solutions. These specialty applications are part of the collection rather than an afterthought or one-off special order.

Sombra’s new PoE motor adds another important power and control option for compatible shade families. Cellular, TDBU and Skylight shades are not currently PoE compatible and continue to use the appropriate Sombra battery or low-voltage motor solution.

A professional motorized shade installation starts with selecting the right Sombra shade and motor for each opening. For hardwired applications, the cable must also be positioned precisely, protected throughout construction, easy to locate when the shade is installed and professionally finished at the window.

Sombra offers rechargeable, low-voltage and new PoE motor options for compatible shade families. Xspot gives dealers a consistent way to manage the wiring for those hardwired shades—securing and protecting the cable, keeping it concealed until needed, and completing the opening with the appropriate purpose-built grommet. Together, dealers gain greater flexibility at each window and a cleaner, more reliable installation wherever wiring is required.
